ERROR WHILE ADDING A SERVER AND CLUSTER SERVICES IN HOST ACCESS MANAGER
August 12, 2010
The administrator will be prompted with an error message during the addition of a Server and Cluster Service in Host Access Manager (HAM).
“This Server is already defined in a cluster” and
“This Cluster Service is already defined in a cluster”.
This problem happens when the administrator is trying to add a server in second database without stopping the services and deleting the Server and Cluster Services in the first database.
The Farabi support team confirms this problem. It happens if the administrator did not follow the proper steps for adding a second database. Hence, a solution has been provided to overcome such error by a modification to the registries.
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require the reinstallation of your operating system. FARABI cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
From the Start menu, click on Run and type “Regedit” to launch the Registry Editor
In Registry Editor Expand My Computer + HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE + SOFTWARE + SEAGULL + HostFront Server In HostFront Server, delete the HFCluster Service and HF server Folders
Click Yes and close the Registry Editor.
Now you can add the Cluster service and New server in Host Access Manager (HAM)
The information in this article applies to all listed Servers including Demo and Setup versions:
BlueZone Access Server Ver.4.1 and higher
HostFront Server Ver.4.1 and higher
